Plan Group has received a Letter of Good Standing from The Nova Scotia Construction Association, confirming our successful COR Audit.
You may have heard about the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program in the past. It’s the industry leading health & safety certification program, and it is only awarded to companies that have established safety programs. Those that meet strict Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations regulations, as well as the Workers Compensation Board (WCB) safety certified criteria.
In order to maintain COR Standard and be issued a Letter of Good Standing, companies must prove their commitment to reducing workplace incidents and injuries by completing an intense annual audit of their safety program.
Plan Group’s WE CARE culture means doing whatever we can to ensure health and safety of our team members, and this culture is one of the reasons we have been awarded COR in Nova Scotia for the past three years.
Since many clients require COR Standard Certification for consideration in P3 and large project bids, receiving a Letter of Good Standing is a key differentiator for Plan Group. Completing the audit and successfully maintaining COR Standard reaffirms that our company’s health & safety program is on track and functioning, while also providing confirmation that everyone has been doing their part to support the Internal Responsibility System.
A special thank you to HSE Manager Cody Craig for leading the audit, and Koren Nickerson and Colin Toop for the crucial on-the-ground role they played throughout, and in spite of all the additional challenges presented by Covid-19.
Stay safe #TeamPlanGroup, and congratulations to everyone involved!
