Plan Group is partnering with a local foodbank to grow fresh produce for families in need.
If there is one thing a global pandemic has taught us it’s that we’re all in this together. That’s why today we are proud to announce Plan Group has partnered with ANIDA, an international non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for those in need in our local community.
We knew we wanted to help ANIDA with their mission, so this week we planted a brand new vegetable garden. Located outside our head office in Vaughan, the garden is home to several zucchini plants that will grow throughout the summer. Once ready, Plan Group volunteers will pick and deliver the garden-fresh and locally grown veggies to ANIDA’s foodbank near Steeles and Highway 400. There, the veggies will make up part of the grocery hampers ANIDA gives to more than 393 households in the area. To make sure as many families as possible have access to fresh produce, Plan Group is committed to donating double our harvest, pound for pound, dollar for dollar.
We are just starting our partnership with ANIDA and already we have a food drive planned for later this year. Stay tuned for more information.
If you would like to help build our partnership with ANIDA by working on projects and volunteer opportunities, speak with Pina Lostritto for more information.
Fancy yourself a farmer? We have extra zucchini plants! If you would like to try growing some at home for donation to ANIDA, please speak with Carole Plion.
